Identity

What it is.

Gonadorelin is synthetic GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) — the 10-amino-acid hypothalamic that pulses every 60-90 minutes to drive LH and FSH release from the pituitary. It is the natural human sequence, manufactured synthetically.

It was historically as Factrel for diagnostic use (testing pituitary function) and for treating delayed puberty and hypothalamic infertility, though most of the clinical inventory has been discontinued in the US over the years. Lutrelef, a -pump form, is still used in some fertility settings internationally.

In the modern men's health and TRT world, gonadorelin has become popular as an alternative to hCG for maintaining testicular function and fertility during TRT. The pitch is that it works upstream of LH (asking the pituitary to make its own LH) rather than mimicking LH directly. The reality is that gonadorelin's natural is only about 2-4 minutes, which makes the pharmacology much harder than hCG's.
