NCT (ClinicalTrials.gov)

Unique identifier for a registered clinical trial.

NCT numbers (NCT followed by 8 digits) identify trials registered at ClinicalTrials.gov, the US trial registry. Every active or completed trial in the US has an NCT — it lists the design, dosing, primary endpoints, status, and (after completion) results. A peptide page that cites a trial should reference the NCT so you can verify the protocol independently. Some active phase 3 trials are findable on the registry months before results publish.
