Angiogenesis

Growth of new blood vessels. Helps healing, also enables tumors.

Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels from existing ones. It's essential for wound healing, embryonic development, and exercise adaptation — but it's also what tumors use to grow. Peptides that promote angiogenesis (BPC-157, TB-500) speed tendon and tissue healing in animal models, but the same mechanism is why these compounds carry a cancer-concern flag in the absence of human trial data.
