How to store peptides.

Lyo: cold + dry + dark. Reconstituted: 2–8°C, 30 days. Done.

is one of the few things people consistently get wrong, and it's also one of the few things that genuinely affect potency.

Lyophilized (powder) vials, unopened
Below 25°C, sealed in original packaging, away from sunlight. Manufacturer datasheet typically claims 12–24 months stable from production date. Refrigerate (2–8°C) for longer-term storage if you bought in bulk.
Reconstituted vials
Refrigerate at 2–8°C immediately after . Use within 30 days. After 30 days, the no longer reliably preserves sterility. Even if the itself is still chemically intact, you risk bacterial contamination.
Freezing reconstituted peptides
Most peptides survive a single freeze-thaw . Repeated freeze-thaws degrade the molecule. If you're planning to keep a vial more than 30 days, aliquot it into smaller insulin syringes or vials before freezing, so each thaw uses only what you need.
What kills peptides
Heat (over 25°C for prolonged periods). Light (especially UV). Repeated freeze-thaw. Shaking. Air contact during .
When in doubt, discard
A $40 vial isn't worth a UTI from contaminated . Buy a new one.
